Porn on the Net and TV

Even though you may think this is only a "man's" issue, not true; both males and females face this addiction.  We have some steps that you can take to help you overcome this evil addiction. We have added an Examination of Conscience to help you to be freed and healed from any evil addictions.  We are praying for you daily and love you impartially.

• You will need to learn how to regulate your time on a computer.  If you minimize your "essential work" time, it will help you limit the temptation. 

•  Go to Confession!  You know that if you confess your sins, they will be forgiven.  But something else is happening, you are pleading to the Lord to remove the demons that have attached themselves to you.  Going to Confession is actually a mini EXORCISM of demons. 

• Hand each demonic image, porn image, to Jesus and ask Him to take that image away from your memory.  Believe it or not, if you ask Jesus to take the porn image away, He will.  So before you go to bed, get on your knees.  Look at a picture or statue of Jesus Crucified.  Then close your eyes, and each image you see of a nude, hand it to Jesus and pray:  "Dear Jesus, I have sinned against my chastity and I plead to you to remove this image from my memory forever.  I hand it to you and surrender myself to your mercy.  Thank you Jesus!"  For each image, do the same or change up your prayer to fit your needs.

• Pay the stipend to the Church for Masses to be said for your intentions (normally only a $5.00 to $10.00 charge).   Many times we need more prayers, a holy Mass or ten holy Masses might be needed (depending on your moral needs).  Because we are born in our parents sins (father's and mother's ancestral lineage sins), we may have been born with a disadvantage; one or both parents were involved in sexual misconduct.  Since we don't know what our great, great grandfather's sins were, etc., we need to have Masses said to break the SIN PATTERN in our life.  You can identify this SIN PATTERN if you find your brother or a sister all have the same sinful behavior.  Also, because of our own sinful behavior or looking at porn, we need to have Masses offered on behalf of our own actions.

• Having Masses said on your behalf.  Go to the church office, sign up for Masses, tell the secretary it's for a "Special Intention".  Then go to the Mass on the day it will be offered for you and before the Consecration, place yourself and your family ancestral lineage into the Chalice and pray to God the Father for mercy, such as:  "Heavenly Father, Your Son, Jesus Christ, suffered and died on the cross for my sins, for my addiction of pornography.  Please have mercy on me, please have mercy on my father's and mother's ancestral lineage and the sins they have committed.  Thank you Father for Your Son Jesus and His sacrifice for my soul.  Amen."
