Prayers of Love & Mercy to the Holy Trinity

Many prayers listed on the pages to the left contain Indulgences for the remission (removal) of our Temporal Punishment (a punishment which must be paid back to God as restitution for our already Confessed sin).  This historical authority given to every successor of St. Peter (our first Pope) is a holy treasure to all the faithful which Jesus Christ instituted to deliver all mankind.  Though the Jewish nation always practiced alms giving to pray for the dead (see holy Scripture 2 Machabees 12:43-46). Jesus provided a means by which all mankind can receive a full pardon for sins committed and sins confessed.  Below, we have provided you with its justification, directly from Jesus himself when Jesus asked the Apostles who they thought He was, Peter stated in St. Matthew 16:16-19:

"Simon Peter answered and said:  Thou art Christ, the Son of the living God.  And Jesus answering said to him:  Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-Jona:  because flesh and blood hath not revealed it to thee, but my Father who is in heaven.  And I say to thee:  That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven:  and whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven:  and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven."

Duay-Rheims version of Holy Bible, Verse 19 states:  Loose on earth is the 'Loosing the bands of Temporal Punishments due to sins, is called an Indulgence; the power of which is here granted.)  You may also refer to the Catholic Catechism, Para. 1471, 1472 & 1473)  [Liguori Publications and Imprimi Potest +Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger.]
