Fr. John's Funeral in Bay Saint Louis, MS

Bay Saint Louis, MS This video was taken of the Washington Street Pier and the Gulf of Mexico. Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church is located just across the street of this beautiful view of the Gulf Coast of Mississippi just before Fr. John's funeral.
   
Our Lady of the Gulf Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church is a beautiful historical one with a scenic setting overlooking the Gulf of Mexico on the Mississippi Coast.
   
Our videographer took a short clip of the inside of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Bay Saint Louis, MS. This is a beautiful Church that has seen its share of destruction from Hurricanes coming ashore.
   
Those who could attend came to grieve and rejoice for Fr. John who was celebrated for the holy loving Priest who touched the lives of hundreds of people. We all mourn his passing, yet he was ready to be with his Heavenly Savior Jesus and Holy Mother Mary. Michael G., from Houston, Texas, is the pianist who came to play and sing beautifully to honor Fr. John along with his lovely wife, Terese. They have known Fr. John for many years.
   
Sharon, who lives in the Bay Saint Louis community and a close friend to Fr. John, leads the Holy Rosary reciting the Joyful Mysteries of Jesus.
   
The Chaplet of Divine Mercy was led by Debbie, who cared for Fr. John while he lived in Bay Saint Louis, MS and another friend, Debbie. They both were good friends to Fr. John and their prayers were beautiful.
   
Father John had his close friends as Pall Bearers. These fine men loved Fr. John and were his dear friends in life and in death. They came from Pennsylvania, Texas, and Bay Saint Louis, MS.
   
Bishop Louis F. Kihneman III presided over Fr. John's funeral along with many of the Priests from the Biloxi, MS Diocese. Bishop Kihneman blessed Fr. John's casket before Mass.
   
The Gospel is read by one of Fr. John's Priest friends, as Michael sings the Alleluia before the Gospel reading.
   
Fr. Michael O'Conner, Pastor of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church offers the Homily on Fr. John Izral.
   
Fr. Michael continues with the Homily speaking about Fr. John's life and the love he had for Jesus, Mother Mary and the Holy Eucharist.
   
Most Reverend Louis F. Kihneman III, offers the Liturgy of the Holy Eucharist and offers Holy Communion to those attending the Mass.
   
At the closing of Fr. John's Mass, Bishop Kihneman offers kinds words in rememberance of Fr. John Izral before going to the Cemetery.
   

As Fr. John's body is taken from Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church, all the Diocesan Priests begin to sing, Salve, Regina as a tribute to his life.

   
Bishop Kihneman and Fr. Michael offer final prayers over Fr. John at the Cemetery and blesses everyone.
   
Fr. Braxton Necaise, Parochial Vicar of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church, offers his condolences to the family members of Fr. John Izral.
   
Sr. Flow speaks on knowing Fr. John for 45 years. She was instrumental in taking care of Fr. John at the Nursing Home when she sat with him daily to care for him.
   
Miss Wanda recalls one of the Catholic Churches that Fr. John built with his own hands. She recalls how he would roll up his sleeves and build.
